Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) International and Temasek Foundation, together with the Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC) under the Royal Government of Bhutan have rolled out a second programme to train senior government officials in Bhutan in the field of Infocomm Technology (ICT).

Building on the success of their first joint programme held in 2012, this second training initiative, which took place in Bhutan from November 2013 to April 2014, has expanded its scope to include the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health and the Tourism Council of Bhutan – key pillars of the country’s social and economic development.

The objectives were to continue to build stronger capabilities, further develop the national ICT master-plan and help implement projects that will drive Bhutan’s e-Government initiatives in the future.
