The Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) pulled off quite a feat with a mega concert at the National Stadium on June 28, 2014. This record-breaking Our People, Our Music (OPOM) 2014 concert, featured a whopping 4,557 performers and choral singers, and broke not one but two Guinness World Records, for the largest Chinese drum ensemble and the largest Chinese orchestra ever assembled.

The programme was led by SCO Music Director Yeh Tsung, Resident Conductor Quek Ling Kiong and its Young Assistant Conductor-in-Residence, Moses Gay. It included classical Chinese orchestral pieces, well-known Chinese songs and a performance by local composer-songwriter Dick Lee, who sang his popular National Day song Home.

The concert was made possible with the support of Temasek Education Foundation and Temasek, as it marks its 40th anniversary this year.
