Mandai Nature, the conservation arm of Mandai Wildlife Group and part of the Temasek Trust Collective, has released its impact report for the financial year 2025/2026.
Titled Protecting Southeast Asia's Biodiversity by Inspiring Conservation Leadership, the report highlights Mandai Nature’s continued efforts to protect threatened species and habitats across Singapore and Southeast Asia, while strengthening the science, capacity, and partnerships needed to sustain conservation over the long term.
Over the past year, Mandai Nature has continued to deliver on more than 40 conservation and research grants through partners across Southeast Asia, advancing targeted conservation action for more than 60 threatened species.

These field projects have collectively contributed to measurable conservation outcomes, enabled by sustained funding and in-kind support by Mandai Nature.
Highlights include:
- 4,300+ animals bred or held in insurance populations, with more than 300 released into native habitats or specially protected zones
- 645 species protected through active patrols or changes in legislation
- More than 150,000 hectares of key habitats protected through on-ground patrols and community-based ranger programmes
- Over 6,200 hectares of forests restored to connect habitats or establish ecological corridors
- 2,000+ people equipped with conservation skills and knowledge through training and capacity-building programmes
- Almost 150,000 livelihoods supported through activities including sustainable agriculture, habitat restoration, wildlife protection, and efforts to reduce human-wildlife conflict

Alongside these conservation efforts, a key milestone was the launch of the Mandai Nature Academy, which brings together Mandai Nature’s work in science and research, capacity building, and advocacy to strengthen conservation expertise across the region.
Supporting this effort is the Mandai Wildlife Centre, which opened in July 2026 to expand wildlife rehabilitation in Singapore and enable training and knowledge exchange among conservation professionals across Southeast Asia.

Looking ahead, Mandai Nature will continue to deepen its work in conservation science and capacity-building, catalyse action on the ground, and convene partnerships to address critical conservation needs across Southeast Asia.
