The expanded Temasek Shophouse reopened to the public on 29 September — refreshed, reimagined, and ready to welcome changemakers once again.
A Heritage Landmark Renewed for Today
The social impact hub now spans four adjoining heritage buildings — 16, 22, 28, and 38 Orchard Road — carrying more than 400 years of collective history. The restoration preserved key heritage elements of the buildings, while integrating sustainable features such as hybrid cooling systems, solar panels, pollinator gardens and reclaimed materials.

Explore the spaces at Temasek Shophouse — from the Tembusu Canopy event venue and the Shophouse BAR mini-gallery, to Market by ABRY’s socially conscious retail space, alongside a pollinator garden with a “bee hotel” created from recycled greenwall.
When outdoor spaces Stamford Canal and Handy Green reopen in 2026, they will complete the Shophouse’s vision of a connected ecosystem that integrates heritage, nature, and community spaces.
A Hub for Changemakers and Collaboration
Beyond a restored landmark, Temasek Shophouse is a home for collaboration among impact-driven organisations. It brings together entities from the Temasek Trust ecosystem — including Temasek Foundation, Temasek Trust Asset Management, Temasek Trust Capital, ABC Impact, TT Foundation Advisors, Catalytic Capital for Climate and Health, Co-Axis, Centre for Impact Investing and Practices, and the Philanthropy Asia Alliance — alongside like-minded co-working partners from across sectors.
With an expanded capacity of 60 co-working spaces and three event venues, including Tembusu Canopy and Banyan Cove, the hub offers space for dialogue, creativity, and collective action.

Colleagues from across the Temasek Trust ecosystem gathered at Tembusu Canopy for a potluck breakfast to celebrate the reopening of Temasek Shophouse.
Two new initiatives were launched as part of the reopening to nurture changemakers and strengthen community engagement:
- Temasek Shophouse Collective: A membership programme that provides social enterprises, charities, and ground-up initiatives in Singapore with tailored support for growth
- Impact Storytellers Collective: A platform that helps aspiring storytellers and changemakers develop content and narratives that inspire collective action, supported by facilities such as a media studio and filming-friendly zones
Together, these initiatives reflect the broader purpose of Temasek Shophouse and the Temasek Trust ecosystem — to catalyse ideas, partnerships, and impact for a more connected society.
Community Programming and Events
Temasek Shophouse continues to serve as a space where people and purpose meet. The reopening weekend featured the return of Let’s Jam, its inclusive monthly concert series, alongside a line-up of markets, workshops, and performances that celebrated creativity and community.

The first Let’s Jam concert in the new space – forging intergenerational friendships through music.
The hub has also hosted programmes such as the Come Together Concert and GREEN-HOUSE festival, which brought together partners and the public to explore themes of sustainability, inclusion, and social impact.
Upcoming collaborations will continue this momentum, offering more opportunities for people to connect with causes that foster well-being and collective action.
